This week in review:
- JD had his last week in the office, and roomie K has just one more. So...it was a week of farewells and yard sales and such. I'll miss them, of course, but am excited for them as they head off for China. ...Our neighbor girl asked why we couldn't all just stay together, and I thought, "Isn't that the story of our lives?" Of course, I'm pretty used to leaving friends and friends leaving me, but that doesn't mean it's ever easy. Still, I'm thankful for the friends who cross my path (and I theirs) at some point along the journey and, though sad when it's time to part, am privileged to get to hear of how the remaining legs go. Thanks for blessing me with your friendship, friends!
- My ultimate frisbee team won both its games on Wednesday. It's usually a 5/2 set up (5 guys, 2 girls on the field at a time), but because of lack of players, we had to play a 3/4 (3 guys, 4 girls). We played a zone defense and completely shut down the opposing teams. Gotta love girl power. : )
- Work has been busy, busy. If anyone has any questions about a visa to China, let me know - I think I've dealt with every issue imaginable. : )
- It is currently 88 degrees and pure sunshine. We haven't had the afternoon rain storms in a couple days, so I've been happy about that. There was some sort of funky lightning storm last night, but...no rain. Storms are forecasted for this afternoon, but, at the moment, anyway, I'm enjoying working on my computer outside. I love weekends. : )
